Wow, what a shame. It is unfortunate how common this problem is in condominium associations. Contractors should take pride in their work, whether they paint and repair, or do other jobs on the property.

Apartment rents are a major concern for a person looking for an apartment for short- or long-term accommodations in core business centers such as Atlanta. Apartments are recent additions to this business center, and these offer move-in rent concessions or post-construction rent concessions. These concessions temporarily dilute the overall average rental structure.

This is by no means an exhaustive list of what’s available in the area of prefabricated homes and buildings. This article is to introduce you to the world prefab. If you’re in the industry, you’ll probably be cringing about now at the word “prefab”. But, the word is one that has become synonymous with homes and buildings that have been partially or fully assembled in a factory setting.

America invented factory fabrication. When you buy a kitchen appliance, VCR or car, you don’t expect it to be dumped in parts in your backyard requiring assembly, do you? You expect these products to be factory-made, factory inspected and ready for instant use. Modular construction is a pre-assembled system of home construction unique to all other methods of construction. We believe, it is unlikely the home building industry will cling to the idea of costly, error prone piece-by-piece fabrication of homes built on site.

Most of these rumors have been started by individuals who have never lived in a log home or are “concerned” relatives giving free advice to other relatives who are considering building a log home. Now let me say that the log home that I am talking about is one that is well designed, manufactured to modern standards and built by someone who knows what they are doing.

The spate of conversion of old apartments to condominiums has finally abated largely due to the failed economy. For many reasons which we have previously noted, buyers prefer new construction and only buy conversions when the housing market is in a selling frenzy. Nevertheless, thousands were sold and owner claims have arisen which range from minor issues with the unit itself to major waterproofing and structural failures in the buildings which will require very expensive reconstruction for which no funding was provided by the converter.
